All hail the unsung heroes of the server room.
Data stewards don’t do it for the glory. They prefer a low profile. Just give them a desk and a quiet corner of the office so they can get their work done in peace. No bells and whistles. No preferential treatment, please.
What is it they do again? Oh yeah. They just manage the data that runs your company.
On second thought, maybe data stewards deserve something special. Like a day of their very own. That’s why we’ve designated October 11 as Data Stewards Day (10.11.11. Don’t get the humor in that? Go ask your data steward).
